I really need to improve my eyesight as I wish to become an airline pilot. My vision is around -5.00 D, while the CAA requires that all applicants must have vision no worse than -3.00 D. Will it be possible for me to improve by this amount?

My optician has just told me that I have started developing cataracts. Can the Bates method help without surgery?

My 6 Year old son has just been prescribed glasses for an astigmatism.The optician said this was unlikely to get better and make in fact become worse as he gets older. The problem is in his right eye. His left eye is apparently perfect! Can the Bates Method help?

I'm interested in the Bates method, but I'm also something of a skeptic by nature. Are there any published articles in peer reviewed journals that validate the method?
