      What about refractive surgery - surely that's easier?  
      The evidence shows that although some people get good results with little trouble, others end up no better off and there are also some real horror stories. Apart from the risks, we feel that in reshaping the eye artificially, these techniques are still suppressing symptoms rather than working on the cause: there is clear evidence for this in the number of cases which appear to achieve successful correction but then regress over time.
